Project Challenges
PHC Construction Company contacted me to create a Capability Statement for a new government client they were hoping to partner with. Many businesses, especially in the construction industry, love to work with the US government, but they know that it can be challenging to get your foot in the door. That’s why it’s so important to make the correct first impression. As a partner of the Government Contractors Association, I have a good knowledge of what the government wants to see in a good Capability Statement, how it should be structured, and what mistakes to avoid while creating one.
Project Solution
After a few rounds of discussions and design, we came up with a Capability Statement that satisfied the client. It clearly displays the client’s capabilities, relevant NAICS codes, contact info, and past performance. We added a QR code that leads straight to the Contact Us page on the PHC website for convenience. We made sure the colors represented the existing brand identity and that the government officials were left with no questions about the company’s capabilities.
The statement is simple but very easy to navigate and read, and it includes past performance, experience, and compelling visuals.
